The Need For Collaborative Software

High Ethernet speeds allow members of an organization to collaborate and share information almost instantly. Shared workspaces and collaborative softwares are the key to improving collaboration and productivity. An entire generation of new employees, called eProfessionals, require new technologies to facilitate their dynamic nature. These workers will “no longer work according to chain production models, but rather more as dynamically and spontaneously assembled groups of people working together in an enhanced collaboration environment that improves their seamless work to achieve common goals.”1 This study will define requirements to increase the spread of information across an organization, explore the background of collaborative software, and cover the benefits of integrated collaborative systems.
